Colombo: Showers are anticipated at various intervals in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts. Some areas in the Sabaragamuwa province and the districts of Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara may experience fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm.

According to News.LK, there is a possibility of several spells of showers occurring in the Northern and North-western provinces. Strong winds ranging between 50 to 60 kmph are predicted over the western slopes of the central hills and across the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-western, and North-central provinces. In other parts of the island, winds may reach speeds of 30 to 40 kmph.

The general public is urged to take adequate precautions to minimize potential damage caused by these strong winds.
