Dhaka: Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider on Friday paid a courtesy call on BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The meeting took place at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office at around 4:30 pm, as confirmed by BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

According to United News of Bangladesh, BNP central leaders welcomed the Pakistani High Commissioner upon his arrival at around 4:15 pm. During the meeting, both sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, focusing on strengthening South Asian regional cooperation, trade and business, and the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The High Commissioner previously expressed his condolences over the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. On December 30, 2025, he visited the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office to sign the condolence book that was opened in her memory.
