Indian Navy Official Engages in Bilateral Talks with Sri Lanka’s Defence Secretary


Colombo: Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula, Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence) of the Indian Navy, paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence today.



According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the meeting served as an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and explore avenues for further strengthening bilateral defence cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of sustained engagement and enhanced collaboration in the maritime and broader defence domains.



Officials from the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka, including the Defence Attach©, were also present at the meeting, highlighting the significance of the discussions.
