Colombo: The Defence Attach© of the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi, who is also accredited to Sri Lanka, Captain (Navy) Armando Paolo SIMI, made a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Defence Ministry.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the meeting began with a reception and was followed by a discussion on bilateral matters and mutual interests. The conversation included a reflection on the supportive relationship between Italy and Sri Lanka, and they explored ways to enhance defence cooperation.

To commemorate the meeting, mementos were exchanged between Captain Simi and Air Vice Marshal Thuyacontha.
