Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte:Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) conducted a review of the ongoing construction for the new Ministry of Defence premises during a site visit.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, project officials provided a briefing to the Defence Secretary on the progress made, infrastructure readiness, and work that remains. The Defence Secretary highlighted that the construction is nearing completion and stressed the importance of adhering to required standards and finishing the remaining work on schedule.

The visit included senior officials from the Defence Ministry and project officers. The new premises, situated within the Defence Headquarters Complex, aim to offer modern facilities to enhance the Ministry’s administrative operations once completed.
