Kandy:President Anura Kumara Dissanayake paid his last respects to the Most Venerable Kappetiyagoda Siri Wimala Thera, Anunayake of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya and Chief Incumbent of the Rajopawanaramaya Temple in Gatambe. The Thera recently passed away, and his remains are lying at the temple.

According to News.LK, the President visited the Rajopawanaramaya Temple to honor the Thera and expressed his deepest condolences to the Maha Sangha and the temple’s Dayaka Sabha, who are grieving the loss.

Several dignitaries, including Central Province Governor and Consultant Physician Dr. Harsha Suranga Fernando and Kandy District Secretary Indika Udawatta, were present during the occasion to pay their respects.
