Galle: Bangladesh U17 National Team will arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow to participate in a series of cricket matches against the Sri Lanka U17 National Team. The tour includes three one-day matches and two three-day matches, all scheduled to be played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium, offering a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and gain international experience.
According to Sri Lanka Cricket, this tour is part of a broader initiative to provide crucial exposure to under-17 players selected through the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) talent search program. This program is a component of the National Pathway Program, designed to identify and nurture young cricketing talent within the country.
The schedule for the tour is as follows: the first one-day match is set for 24th November 2024, followed by the second on 26th November and the third on 28th November. The series will then transition to the longer format with the first three-day game scheduled from 1st to 3rd December, and the second
from 6th to 8th December. All matches will be held at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.
Sri Lanka Cricket anticipates that these matches will be instrumental in developing the skills of the young players, providing them with the opportunity to compete at an international level and prepare for future challenges in their cricketing careers.
