British High Commissioner Engages in Bilateral Talks with Sri Lankan Defence Secretary.


Colombo: High Commissioner of the British High Commission in Sri Lanka, HE Mr. Andrew Patrick, paid a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at the Defence Ministry in the Defence Headquarters Complex, Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the meeting involved a cordial discussion between the Defence Secretary and the British High Commissioner on matters of bilateral significance and mutual interest. The discussions underscored the ongoing collaboration and shared objectives between the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka in the realm of defence and security.

The event was also attended by key officials, including Air Vice Marshal Padman De Costa, the Military Liaison Officer of the Defence Ministry, and Colonel Darren Woods, the Defence Attaché at the British High Commission in Colombo. The presence of these officials highlighted the importance of the meeting and the commitment of both nations to fostering strong defence ties.
