Colombo: Senior Colonel FU Xiao, the newly appointed Defence Attach© of the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence today.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, during the meeting, the Defence Secretary and the Chinese Defence Attach© engaged in discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral defence-related affairs. The talks were described as cordial and focused on enhancing the cooperation between the two nations.

The meeting was further attended by the deputy defense attach© and the naval attach© of the Chinese Embassy, indicating the importance of the discussions and the commitment to fostering stronger bilateral relations.
