Colombo: The Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), attended a reception held in honour of the Diplomatic Corps today at the Cinnamon Grand hotel.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Hon. Vijitha Herath, was the Chief Guest at the event. The reception served as a platform for promoting diplomatic cooperation and facilitating interactions.

The event coincided with Sri Lanka’s 78th Independence Day, aiming to strengthen the relations and engagement between Sri Lanka and the diplomatic community based in the country.
