Colombo:Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) participated as a special guest in the reception celebrating the National Foundation Day of the Republic of Korea at the Shangri-La Hotel on October 2.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the event was hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka and featured Hon. (Dr.) Anil Jayantha, Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, as the Chief Guest.

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Sri Lanka, H.E. Kim Youn Jung, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished attendees. The gathering included the Speaker of the Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, Politicians, the Commander of the Navy, members of the diplomatic corps, tri-service officers, government officials, other distinguished guests, and members of the Korean community.
