Trincomalee: The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), along with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment and Chairman of the DDC, Hon. Arun Hemachandra, co-chaired a Public Day Programme at the Trincomalee District Secretariat office.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the programme provided an opportunity for members of the veteran community and the general public in Trincomalee to present their concerns, grievances, and development-related issues directly to the relevant authorities.

During this event, the Deputy Minister reviewed a range of matters raised by veterans and local residents, instructing relevant authorities to take necessary actions in an efficient and timely manner. Senior state officials and local body representatives were present at this event.
