Indian Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff Engages in Bilateral Talks with Sri Lankan Defence Deputy


Colombo: The Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence) of India, Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula, visited the office of the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), in Colombo for a courtesy call.



According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the meeting unfolded in a cordial manner, allowing for discussions on mutual interests, with a significant focus on enhancing bilateral defence cooperation. Both parties underscored the necessity for continued engagement and collaboration between Sri Lanka and India in defence matters.



The Defence Adviser from the High Commission of India was also in attendance during the meeting.
