Dhaka: Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the central committee has served a show-cause notice on Mohammad Faisal Hossain, joint convener of its Jahangirnagar University unit, for allegedly violating organisational discipline.

According to United News of Bangladesh, JCD Central Office Secretary Md Jahangir Alam signed the notice on Friday, instructing Faisal to submit a written explanation within 24 hours. The notice accuses Faisal of breaching organisational discipline while holding a significant position in the JU unit, demanding clarification on why permanent organisational disciplinary action should not be enforced against him.

Faisal has been instructed to present himself at the JCD central office and provide his written explanation in the presence of central President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir. The directive was issued by the JCD president and general secretary on Friday, underlining the seriousness of the matter.
