Colombo: The outgoing Defence Attach© of the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, Colonel Muhammad Farooq, paid a farewell call on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), at the Deputy Minister’s office in Colombo.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, Colonel Muhammad Farooq was accompanied by the newly appointed Defence Attach©, Colonel Muhammad Talha Badar, during the visit. The meeting was characterized by a discussion on matters of mutual interest, with a particular focus on the longstanding and friendly defence relations between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

The Deputy Minister commended Colonel Farooq for his efforts in enhancing bilateral defence cooperation and military-to-military relations during his tenure in Sri Lanka. He also extended his best wishes for Colonel Farooq’s future endeavors.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister warmly welcomed Colonel Muhammad Talha Badar to his new role, expressing confidence that the defence relations and cooperation between Sri Lanka and Pakistan would continue to prosper under his leadership.
