Polonnaruwa: A Sri Lanka Air Force rescue team on a Bell-212 helicopter from No. 7 Helicopter Squadron, Hingurakgoda, safely rescued 13 people stranded on the Manampitiya Bridge in Polonnaruwa this morning. All persons were airlifted to safe locations.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the operation was conducted by a skilled team from the No. 7 Helicopter Squadron. The stranded individuals were successfully moved to safety, demonstrating the efficiency and readiness of the Sri Lanka Air Force during emergencies.
