Colombo: The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), extended his sincere congratulations to Midshipman T.M.I. Vimukthi Tennakoon of Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) in recognition of earning the prestigious Sword of Honour at the recent Commissioning Parade of the 122nd Midshipmen and 30th Short Service Commission (SSC) Course at the Pakistan Naval Academy (PNA), Karachi.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, Midshipman Tennakoon was warmly welcomed by Major General Jayasekara at his office in Colombo earlier today. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister lauded the officer’s exemplary performance and emphasized the importance of sharing his knowledge and exhibiting leadership with his fellow officers and subordinates in SLN. Moreover, he extended his best wishes for a successful and distinguished career in the Sri Lanka Navy on behalf of His Excellency the President.
