Colombo: The Government of the French Republic has officially appointed H.E. R©mi Lambert as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Sri Lanka. Ambassador Lambert presented his credentials to H.E. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the President of Sri Lanka, on 24 March 2025 at 0900 hrs. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Sri Lanka, the appointment of H.E. R©mi Lambert was made with the concurrence of the Sri Lankan government. This event marks a significant step in the diplomatic relations between France and Sri Lanka, as both nations continue to strengthen their ties through such official engagements.
