New Chief of National Intelligence Assumes Duties


Colombo: The newly appointed Chief of National Intelligence, Major General Nalinda Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc PhD MSc (DM) MSc (NSWS) PGDM, received his letter of appointment from the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), yesterday.



According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, Major General Niyangoda assumed duties in his new role at his office at the Ministry of Defence, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, today. Major General Niyangoda, who is a member of the Armoured Corps, brings over 35 years of service in the Sri Lanka Army. Throughout his career, he has held numerous challenging appointments and demonstrated leadership and commitment to his duties.
