Dhaka: Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Sunday announced that his post-election efforts will concentrate on three key areas: digital healthcare development, youth entrepreneurship, and the ‘Three Zero’ agenda. This was disclosed during a meeting with Akie Abe, head of the Foundation for Encouragement of Social Contribution and wife of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, held at the State Guest House Jamuna.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Akie Abe, currently visiting Bangladesh with a delegation from her foundation, inquired about Prof Yunus’s plans and priorities following Bangladesh’s national election scheduled for February 12. Prof Yunus outlined his focus on enhancing digital healthcare systems to improve access for women and vulnerable groups. He also aims to develop platforms allowing expatriate Bangladeshis to stay updated on their family members’ health.

Additionally, Prof Yunus intends to continue nurturing young entrepreneurs, a longstanding commitment in his work. His ‘Three Zero’ agenda remains a priority, aiming to address pressing social issues. Prof Yunus also shared with Akie Abe his plans to visit Japan in March, post-election, at the invitation of the Sasakawa Foundation, to participate in a conference and explore collaborative opportunities in ocean research between Bangladesh and the foundation.
