Colombo: The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued an early landslide warning for several Divisional Secretariat Divisions (DSDs) across five districts due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions affecting parts of the island. The warning will remain in force until 9.00 p.m. today.

According to News.LK, the Level 1 (Yellow) landslide alerts urge residents to stay alert and vigilant in the following areas: Passara DSD and nearby areas in Badulla District, Ridigama DSD and nearby areas in Kurunegala District, Naula DSD and nearby areas in Matale District, Ambanganga Korale, Rattota, Badalkumbura, and Wellawaya DSDs and surrounding areas in Monaragala District, and Godakawela DSD and nearby areas in Ratnapura District.

Residents in these regions have been advised to exercise caution, especially during periods of heavy rainfall. The NBRO emphasizes the importance of remaining vigilant to ensure safety in these high-risk areas.
