According to United News of Bangladesh, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification announcing these transfers. Mymensingh Range DIG Md Ataul Kibria has been reassigned as the DIG of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). In a corresponding move, Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Hasan has been appointed to replace Kibria.

Additionally, Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) Commissioner Abdul Quddus Chowdhury is now the DIG of the Chattogram Range. DIG Sarwar Murshed Shamim of the Police Headquarters has been appointed as the new SMP commissioner.
