Dhaka: A meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) got underway on Wednesday morning with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in the chair. The meeting began at 10:00am at the Cabinet Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat, said a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Press Wing.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the meeting saw the participation of several key ministers, including LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed. Other attendees included Power and Energy Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood Tuku, Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, Water Resources Minister Md Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee, Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu, Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman, and State Minister for Planning Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki.
Senior officials from the relevant ministries and agencies were also present. They joined the meeting to present and discuss various development project proposals. The gathering aimed to evaluate and approve projects that align with the national economic goals.
