Dhaka: The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police successfully arrested five individuals suspected of planning a mugging in the bustling area of Karwan Bazar. The arrests took place as the suspects were allegedly preparing to commit the crime.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the individuals taken into custody have been identified as Raihan, 20, Nur Alam, 25, Hridoy, 26, Mehedi Hasan, 38, and Jewel, 30. The operation was carried out during a late-night drive at approximately 11:50 pm on Tuesday, as stated in an official press release from the CTTC.

Following their arrest, the suspects were brought before a court for further legal proceedings. The CTTC’s prompt action in detaining these individuals is part of ongoing efforts to combat crime in the city and ensure public safety.
