Dhaka: Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen emphasized the significance of cultural exchanges between Bangladesh and China, stating that they are a vital component of bilateral relations. These exchanges play an essential role in fostering mutual understanding between the two nations and strengthening their traditional friendship.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Ambassador Yao expressed a commitment to collaborate with Bangladesh to enhance cultural exchanges. During a meeting with Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury and State Minister for Cultural Affairs Ali Newaz Mahmood Khyom, they engaged in discussions focused on bolstering cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting also included Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Kaniz Moula. The Bangladeshi representatives acknowledged the positive outcomes of recent cultural exchanges with China and expressed a willingness to further enhance experience sharing and collaborative efforts in areas such as culture, arts, and the protection of intangible cultural heritage.
