Dhaka: The online application activities of Dhaka University’s undergraduate program for the 2026-27 session will begin on 11 November 2026 at 12:00 PM, the university’s public relations office announced today. Applicants will have until 11:59 PM on 25 November to submit their applications.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the decisions regarding the admissions process were made during a meeting of the admission committee, held today at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban. The meeting was presided over by the vice chancellor, Prof. Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam. It was confirmed that the undergraduate program admission tests for 2026-27 will be conducted under five units, similar to previous years. These units include the Arts, Law, and Social Science unit, Science unit, Business Studies unit, Fine Arts unit, and IBA unit.

The examination schedule is as follows: the Arts, Law, and Social Science unit exam will take place on 19 December; the Science unit exam on 12 December; the Business Studies unit exam on 26 December; the Fine Arts unit exam (GK and Drawing) on 22 December; and the IBA unit exam on 5 December 2026. While most unit exams will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, the IBA unit exam will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Exams for all units, except Fine Arts and IBA, will be held across eight divisions of the country. The designated divisional centers include Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barisal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agriculture University, and Begum Rokeya University. The exams will consist of a 60-mark MCQ and a 40-mark written test for all units except Fine Arts and IBA. The Fine Arts unit will have a 40-mark MCQ and a 60-mark drawing test, while the IBA unit will feature a 70-mark MCQ and a 30-mark written test.

Each exam will be out of 100 marks, with an additional 20 marks awarded based on HSC and SSC results. Eligibility criteria for prospective applicants include passing the SSC or equivalent between 2021 and 2024, and the HSC or equivalent in 2026. The meeting also determined that, for the Science unit, the question paper for English medium students will be based on their curriculum.

Finally, it was decided that class activities for the 2026-27 academic session will commence on 28 March 2027.
