Hathazari: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday warned that no one will be allowed to play with the fate of the people of Bangladesh, saying now is the time to build the country and the nation.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Prime Minister addressed a rehabilitation programme for flood-affected people at the Hathazari Government College ground in Hathazari upazila at night. He expressed concerns over certain political parties in the country that are spreading confusion and trying to obstruct development activities aimed at benefiting the populace.
The Prime Minister emphasized the necessity for all democracy-minded individuals in Bangladesh, who believe in democracy and freedom of speech, to decide on measures against those who create chaos, block roads, and mislead people. “The people of Bangladesh must make this decision today,” he asserted.
Reiterating his commitment, Tarique Rahman declared, “We cannot allow anyone to play with the fate of the people of Bangladesh. We cannot allow anyone to play with the fate of the country. Now is the time to build the country, now is the time to shape the fate of the nation.”
He highlighted the potential of transforming the 400 million hands of 200 million people into productive forces for the country’s advancement. “We have to take our country forward in the days ahead,” he stated, urging citizens to resist those who create obstacles to the nation’s development and the improvement of their fortunes.
The Prime Minister concluded by calling on the people to pledge and take an oath to stand up against those impeding the country’s progress and the betterment of its people.
