China, France, UK, Switzerland Congratulate Mirza Fakhrul on Election as Bangladesh President


Dhaka: China, the United Kingdom, France, and Switzerland have extended their congratulations to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir following his election as the 23rd President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka expressed its warm congratulations to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election. The Embassy highlighted the importance of China-Bangladesh relations and expressed China’s readiness to collaborate closely with Bangladesh to build a community with a shared future, aiming to bring greater benefits to both countries and their peoples.



Similarly, the British High Commission in Dhaka conveyed its congratulations to President Fakhrul, expressing the UK’s anticipation of working with him and the Government of Bangladesh. The High Commission emphasized the intention to further strengthen the long-standing partnership between the two nations.



The Embassy of France also extended its warmest congratulations, acknowledging President Alamgir’s significant contribution as a veteran politician to Bangladesh’s democratic journey. France reiterated its commitment to reinforcing the longstanding friendship and bilateral relations with Bangladesh.



The Swiss Embassy in Dhaka echoed these sentiments by congratulating President Alamgir and expressing its eagerness to enhance bilateral relations between Switzerland and Bangladesh, building on their long-standing partnership.
