Dhaka: The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has successfully recovered the motorcycle used in the sensational Tk 1.21 crore robbery at a filling station in the capital’s Uttara area. The recovery took place on Thursday night, adding a significant lead to the ongoing investigation into this high-profile crime.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the Pulsar motorcycle was discovered around 10:30 p.m. in a building garage on Hafiz Uddin Master Road in the Nandipara area of Khilgaon. This discovery came after detectives extracted crucial information from an arrested suspect, Sagar Barai, during a remand interrogation.

Md. Elias Kabir, Deputy Commissioner of DB Uttara Division, stated that the DB has prioritized the investigation since the robbery’s occurrence. To date, law enforcement has conducted multiple raids across Dhaka and Narayanganj, resulting in the arrest of five suspects, including Sagar Barai.

In addition to the arrests, police seized four firearms, a portion of the looted cash, and other critical evidence from the suspects’ possession. Officials have confirmed that operations are ongoing to capture the remaining suspects and recover additional weapons used in the heist. The investigation continues to unfold as authorities work diligently to bring all perpetrators to justice.
