Bangkok: The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Thailand took part in the 69th YWCA (Young Women’s Christian Association) Diplomatic Charity Bazaar, which was held from November 7 to 10, 2024, at Central World, Bangkok.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Sri Lanka, the Embassy showcased authentic Sri Lankan craftsmanship and premium products, including handicrafts from the National Crafts Council, Ceylon cinnamon from Excellensa Impex Pvt Ltd, and Ceylon tea from K Square Lanka Pvt Ltd. The exhibition garnered significant interest, with several Sri Lankan products being promoted on local TV channels. Interviews with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, were conducted by YWCA Bangkok and a well-known Thai lifestyle YouTuber, further enhancing awareness of Sri Lankan culture and exports.

The participation of the Sri Lankan Embassy in the event emphasized Sri Lanka’s commitment to strengthening cultural and trade relations with Thailand while supporting the charit
able initiatives of the YWCA.
