Ambassador Professor Arusha Cooray Presents Credentials to UAE President


Abu dhabi: The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the United Arab Emirates, Professor Arusha Cooray, presented her credentials to the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on July 10, 2025. The ceremony took place at Qasr Al Watan, the President’s palace. Alongside Professor Cooray, newly appointed ambassadors from the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Ecuador, Slovak Republic, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Republic of Honduras also presented their credentials.



According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Sri Lanka, the event was attended by several high-profile UAE officials, including Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Courts, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.



During the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the new ambassadors and reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’ commitment to providing full support through the government and relevant authorities. This support aims to help the ambassadors in fulfilling their duties to strengthen bilateral relations with their respective countries.
