Katunayake: Australian Governor-General Samantha Joy Mostyn, accompanied by her delegation, departed from Bandaranaike International Airport this morning, concluding a successful three-day official visit to Sri Lanka at the invitation of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
According to News.LK, during her stay, Governor-General Mostyn held bilateral discussions with President Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya. The talks focused on further strengthening cooperation between Australia and Sri Lanka, as well as exploring opportunities to expand areas of collaboration for the mutual benefit of both nations.
While in Sri Lanka, Governor-General Mostyn toured various regions of the country and visited several Australian-supported projects in Bandaragama, Mirissa, and Weligama. Minister of Science and Technology Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena and a group of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at the airport to see her off.
