Dhaka: Capital market-listed Bank Asia PLC has doubled its authorised capital from Tk 1,500 crore to Tk 3,000 crore, according to information disclosed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website on Tuesday.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the total number of the bank’s authorised ordinary shares has expanded from 150 crore to 300 crore following the increase. The face value of each share remains unchanged at Tk 10.

Bank Asia reported that the enhancement of its authorised capital has been duly approved and certified by the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC).

Additionally, to reflect the capital expansion, necessary amendments were made to Clause 5 of the company’s Memorandum of Association and Article 6 of its Articles of Association, both of which have been approved and registered by the RJSC.
