Colombo: The Sri Lankan government has decided to further develop and continue operations at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, a senior official announced.


According to Nam News Network, following an inspection visit to the airport, Sunil Jayarathne, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, stated that the government is in discussions with several international carriers about launching services to the airport. He indicated that the government also plans to offer tax concessions to boost tourist arrivals through the airport.
