Colombo: Lieutenant Colonel Anthony (US Army) C. Nelson, the Defence Attach©, and other officials from the US Embassy in Colombo paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) this morning. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister expressed appreciation for the support extended by the US government to enhance Sri Lanka’s defence capabilities.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, both parties exchanged views on the strong and enduring bonds of goodwill and mutual understanding that underpin the defence cooperation between the two nations. The meeting reaffirmed the strong and valuable partnership between Sri Lanka and the United States of America.
