Colombo: Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd.) attended the Swiss National Day Celebration, marking the 735th Anniversary of the Swiss Confederation and 70 years of diplomatic friendship between Switzerland and Sri Lanka, held at Cinnamon Life in Colombo on 22 July.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the event was hosted by Her Excellency Dr. Siri Walt, Ambassador of Switzerland to Sri Lanka and Maldives. The gathering was graced by the Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, as the Chief Guest.

The Deputy Speaker, Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Members of Parliament, Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and senior state officials were present at the occasion, highlighting the significance of the diplomatic relationship between the two nations.
