Colombo: Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), attended a reception hosted by the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, H.E. Mr. Santosh Jha, at the Indian House in Colombo last evening, in honour of the Indian and Sri Lankan men’s cricket teams participating in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship series.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the occasion provided an opportunity for the players of the two teams and distinguished guests to interact in a cordial atmosphere, further reflecting the enduring friendship and close people-to-people ties between India and Sri Lanka, with cricket serving as a shared passion between the two nations.
