Fazlul Hoque Takes Helm as FBCCI Administrator


Dhaka: Fazlul Hoque, the former president of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and a former director of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), officially assumed the role of FBCCI administrator on Sunday. His appointment to this position was made by the Ministry of Commerce.



According to United News of Bangladesh, Fazlul, who also serves as the managing director of Plummy Fashions Ltd, has been entrusted with the responsibility to oversee a free and fair election within 120 days. Following the election, he is expected to transfer responsibilities to the newly elected body.



Upon taking charge, Fazlul organized an introductory session with the officers and staff of the FBCCI Secretariat. During this meeting, he requested complete cooperation and wholehearted support from all personnel to ensure the smooth execution of the electoral process within the given timeframe.



In response to Fazlul’s call for cooperation, FBCCI Secretary General Md Alamgir assured the secretariat’s full support. He emphasized the team’s commitment to maintaining integrity and ensuring a neutral election process. Additionally, he highlighted the federation’s ongoing efforts in trade facilitation and strategic policy advocacy.
