Colombo: A low-level atmospheric disturbance has developed over the southeast of the island, leading to cloudy skies and intermittent showers or thundershowers across most parts of the region.

According to News.LK, heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm is anticipated in certain areas within the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-western, Southern, and Northern provinces. Residents in these regions are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions against potential damage from strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
