Colombo: The Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit (MOD SVU) conducted a donation programme today at the Ministry of Defence premises under the patronage of its President, Dr. (Mrs.) Ruvini Rasika Perera.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, during the event, three wheelchairs were donated for the use of family members of Tri-Forces personnel as part of the Unit’s ongoing welfare initiatives. These donations are aimed at providing necessary support and assistance to the families of those serving in the armed forces.

Additionally, a consignment of school equipment was donated to Galloolla Tamil College, Badulla, and was formally received by the Principal, Mr. Ramagiyam Pradeepan. This contribution is expected to support the educational activities of students and contribute to enhancing the school’s learning environment, furthering the Unit’s commitment to community welfare and education.
