Berlin: President Anura Kumara Disanayaka will undertake an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany from June 11 to 13, 2025, on the invitation of the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. During the visit, President Disanayaka will engage in discussions with the President of Germany, key ministers of the Federal Government, and other dignitaries. The discussions will focus on exploring new avenues for cooperation in areas such as trade, digital economy, investment, and vocational training opportunities, aligning with government priorities.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Disanayaka will chair a Business Forum organized by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). This forum will involve key industries in Germany and aim to highlight Sri Lanka’s economic transformation, the investment opportunities available, the country’s growth potential, and possibilities for establishing new trade ties between the two nations.
Additionally, the President will meet with tourism and travel industry associations in Germany as part of the visit. Accompanying President Disanayaka will be Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath, along with senior government officials.
