Kathmandu: President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is currently in Kandy for the annual Esala Perahera at the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa, visited the Most Venerable Mahanayake Theros and Anunayake Theros of the Malwathu and Asgiriya Chapters to receive their blessings.

According to News.LK, the President commenced his visit at the Malwathu Maha Viharaya, where he paid his respects to the Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Mahanayake Thero and received his blessings. During this visit, President Dissanayake also engaged in a brief discussion with the Mahanayake Thero. Following this, the President met with the Most Venerable Dimbulkumbure Wimaladhamma Anunayake Thero of the Malwathu Chapter for a short discussion.

Subsequently, the President proceeded to the Asgiriya Maha Viharaya. There, he paid his respects to the Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Mahanayake Thero of the Asgiriya Chapter and inquired about his well-being. The visits were also attended by Central Province Governor Dr. Harsha Suranga.
