Colombo: The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Colombo hosted a celebration for Qatar National Day at the ITC Ratnadipa. The event featured the Minister of Justice and National Integration, Harshana Nanayakkara, as the chief guest.

According to Ministry of Defence, the celebration was attended by notable figures including Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), and Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd). Distinguished guests were welcomed by Mr. Ali bin Salim Al Nuaimi, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Sri Lanka.

The ceremony included participation from diplomats, Ministers, Members of Parliament, and business leaders, highlighting the strong relations between Sri Lanka and Qatar.
