Dhaka: Detectives of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Monday arrested Awami League General Secretary of Satkhira district unit Md. Nazrul Islam from the capital’s Bashundhara residential area. DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Shafiqul Islam confirmed that Nazrul Islam was apprehended from his residence around 12 pm.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Nazrul Islam’s arrest is linked to multiple cases filed against him. The legal proceedings concerning these cases are currently in progress, as stated by the DB chief.
