Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Friday held separate meetings with Germany’s Ambassador Rudiger Lotz and Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Riley. The meetings took place in the evening at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office, initially with the German envoy, followed by the Australian envoy, as stated by BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the discussions primarily focused on bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. The meetings were attended by BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan and Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir.

The meeting with the German and Australian envoys comes shortly after Tarique’s recent meetings with other international diplomats. Earlier, Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen met Tarique on January 7, followed by a meeting with Pakistan’s High Commissioner on Friday afternoon.
