Sylhet: BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Thursday announced that his party would introduce family cards for four crore households if it comes to power. He made these remarks during an interactive discussion with youths at a hotel in Sylhet in the morning.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the BNP leader stated that the card would be issued in the name of the female head of each family. It would provide a monthly allowance ranging from Tk 2,000 to Tk 2,500, along with essential food items. Tarique Rahman emphasized the card’s role in supporting families financially.

In addition to the family card initiative, Tarique Rahman pledged to modernize technical education to enhance skills for individuals seeking overseas employment. He highlighted the significance of learning foreign languages as part of this modernization effort.

The event, titled ‘The Plan: Youth Policy Talk with Tarique Rahman,’ provided a platform for young participants, mostly students from various educational institutions, to share their views and seek guidance.

Meanwhile, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to attend a public rally at the Alia Madrasa field in Sylhet, further engaging with the local community.
