Bagerhat: An octogenarian woman, her daughter, and grandson were found deceased at their residence in Chanderkhola village of Kachua upazila, Bagerhat district. The tragic discovery was made on a Tuesday morning, leaving the local community in shock.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the victims were identified as Rashida Begum, aged 85, her daughter Monira Begum, aged 55, and Monira’s son Ahat Hawladar, aged 25. Concerns were raised when the family did not respond to calls, prompting locals to alert the police.
Mahmud Hasan, Sub-inspector of Kachua Police Station, reported that the authorities, upon receiving the notification from the villagers, discovered the bloodstained bodies in two separate rooms within the house. Initial assessments suggest that the deaths occurred a day or two prior to the discovery.
The police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Sub-inspector Mahmudul mentioned that the investigation is ongoing, as they seek to uncover the cause behind this distressing incident.
