Colombo: A delegation of the World Bank’s management, led by Regional Country Director for Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, Mr. David Sislen, met with the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), at his office in Colombo. The meeting, which took place on Monday, was centered on discussing strategies to overcome challenges related to the Climate Resilience Multiphase Programmatic Approach (CResMPA) project in Sri Lanka.
According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the delegation provided an overview of the hurdles faced during the implementation of the CResMPA project. They highlighted specific project management issues that have persisted and presented a series of potential solutions for the government to consider. These measures aim to address the obstacles and facilitate the seamless execution of the project.
