Karachi: The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Karachi facilitated a high-level delegation led by Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Akif Saeed, to participate in the Invest Sri Lanka Capital Market Investor Forum held at Shangri-La Colombo, from 27 to 28 March 2025.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Sri Lanka, the forum was jointly organized by the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC). It served as a platform to explore investment opportunities and foster regional cooperation in the capital markets sector.
Chairman Akif Saeed contributed as a distinguished panelist during the session titled “Navigating Frontier Capital Markets,” where he shared insights into the emerging trends and the importance of cross-border dialogue in the evolving financial landscape of the region.
A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), and Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). This agreement reflects a shared commitment to enhanced collaboration, information exchange, and the pursuit of opportunities that are mutually beneficial for the three parties.
