Colombo: Showers are expected intermittently in the Sabaragamuwa province, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Several spells of rain are also anticipated in the Western and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

According to News.LK, showers or thundershowers may occur in a few places across the Uva province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the afternoon or night. Fairly strong winds, reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph, can be expected over the Western slopes of the central hills and in Northern, North-central, Southern, and North-western provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee district.

The general public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize the risk of damage from temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
